Our Origin Story

It was 2016 and Alex was finishing his final year at Carnegie Mellon University. Each year, students are responsible for fundraising for Senior Showcase, a trip to NYC and LA to meet with industry professionals to kick-start their careers. 

Alex had an idea- why not produce a play? He enlisted the help of fellow MFA candidate Mora Harris and her play Boxed In. He then found two actors willing to rehearse the play. He then found a venue- a familiar residence for all CMU students- the team rehearsed for two days and filled the living room with chairs. The play was presented to three sold-out audiences- over 75 people attending.

ANTIX! was born. ANTIX! thrives on innovative artists. We believe all artists can relate to end of the creed of the stagehand's creed- "We have been doing so much with so little for so long, we can now do anything with almost nothing in no time at all."

Following a brief stint working in the industry in Brooklyn, Alex returned to the Fox Cities.

In 2019, ANTIX Theatrix Productions was named Emerging Arts Organization of the Year by the National Independent Film Organization

In 2021, ANTIX Theatrix incorporated to become ANTIX! LLC- a social enterprise dedicated to enriching the arts community in the Fox Cities. 

ANTIX Theatrix engages in Fair-Trade Art- the idea that all creative collaborators deserve to be compensated for their time and talents. We are also committed to providing educational opportunities for emerging artists.
